NCSoft to Cut Aion 2 PvP Damage by About 30%
NCSoft announced the Aion 2 PvP damage reduction and other updates during an October 13 live broadcast, with some changes arriving October 14.
NCSoft announced during an Aion 2 live broadcast on October 13 that PvP damage will be reduced by about 30%, a change intended to lengthen PvP time-to-kill. The company also outlined a set of combat, class and system updates, according to inven.co.kr.
Some of the announced changes will be applied on October 14, with the rest rolled out gradually. Among them, the large-scale battle skill 'Assault' will grant increased defense and all elemental resistances for 5 seconds proportional to the number of enemies hit, while the 'Block' skill will gain an effect reducing its recast time by 0.3 seconds on a successful defense.
Elemental damage will be added to some skills of the Sorcerer, Spiritmaster and Cleric classes. Inheritance materials will be consolidated into a single item called 'Flame of Inheritance', removing the material distinctions by weapon, armor and accessory, and existing materials can be converted into Flame of Inheritance through material transmutation.
Class change ticket shelved as other systems are revised
NCSoft said it will not release a class change ticket for the time being. In an additional poll held during the broadcast, opposition to the class change ticket was 52.4% versus 47.5% in favor.
The Sanctuary 'Snowfield of Sorrow' will be improved on October 14 so support classes can more easily handle the wedge pattern. Housing improvements, including wall and floor patterns and furniture size adjustment, are in final testing, and the ranking system's operation will be changed so competition is not concentrated only right before the end of a season.
NCSoft said improvements well received in the global service will be applied to the Korean service gradually.
