Archetype Entertainment shows 40 minutes of Exodus gameplay
The demo follows Jun Aslan freeing the Kay, a sentient frog species, on an orbital platform and includes a companion tied to a species-wide choice.
Archetype Entertainment released a 40-minute gameplay video of its sci-fi action shooter Exodus earlier this week, according to kotaku.com. The footage shows a full mission rather than a short trailer.
In the mission, player character Jun Aslan and his team liberate the Kay, a sentient frog species, from an evil human faction aboard an orbital platform. Combat uses a wheel for issuing companion commands and switching weapons, and enemy health bars are colour-coded.
The squad includes an octopus piloting a mech and a companion named Suliman, whose storyline leads to a major end-of-demo choice that affects an entire species. The demo also shows both sides of a dialogue decision, one of which ends with a character being shot in the head.
Studio background
Archetype Entertainment was founded by former BioWare developers. According to the same report, Mass Effect 5 has been cancelled.
