Phoenix Cyclops DLC guide video released for MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls

The video details how Cyclops' Optic Blast merges with Phoenix Force flames and explains the Solar Shard system for triggering Dark Phoenix.

A guide video for Phoenix Cyclops, the first DLC character in MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, was released on October 30, 2026, according to 4gamer.net. The video shows the character combining Cyclops' Optic Blast with flames from the Phoenix Force.

Phoenix Cyclops uses a Solar Shard system: hitting certain skills lights Solar Shard icons, and using a corresponding move with all icons lit triggers the Dark Phoenix state. In that state, some move properties are strengthened and the high-speed movement move Surging Flame becomes available.

Surging Flame can be canceled into from normal moves and skills, and it lets the character pass through the opponent. Activating it consumes health gauge and shortens the remaining Dark Phoenix time.

The character's skills include Heat Wave, Phoenix Dive, Phoenix Flame and Phoenix Claw. The 100-gauge move Dark Ascension can enter the Dark Phoenix state when Solar Shards are gathered and deals increased damage in that state.
