Studio Wildcard has confirmed that the Giganotosaurus TLC update for Ark: Survival Ascended will arrive on Thursday November 5, 2026, according to PCGamesN. The same date marks the game's transition to Unreal Engine 5.8.
The Giganotosaurus TLC is the third of five community-voted TLC updates, following the passes for the Araneo and the Therizinosaurus. Studio Wildcard says the reworked creature has a fearsome new look and renewed ferocity, and remains a formidable ally once tamed.
On the engine side, Studio Wildcard says it has reached 99.9% mod compatibility for the Unreal Engine 5.8 update. The switch was originally scheduled for the end of September before being pushed back a couple of times.

The Enigmasaur, a shapeshifting creature that can mimic other creatures, arrives the next day, on Friday November 6, 2026, closing out Fantastic Tames Season 1.
