Ubisoft Sets November 5 New Game Plus Update for Assassin's Creed Valhalla
The update lets players restart Eivor's story with gear and builds carried over, plus a new Power system, Mithril resource and Divine Gear.
Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin's Creed Valhalla will receive a New Game Plus mode on November 5, alongside a set of new progression, gear and reward features. The studio also said full patch notes and details on current-generation console improvements will follow in the coming days.
New Game Plus lets players restart Eivor's story while carrying over much of their progression, including equipment and character builds. The mode includes dedicated difficulty scaling for returning players.
The update adds an optional progression system that combines Gear, Runes and Masteries to determine Eivor's overall Power. A new resource called Mithril can upgrade Divine Gear and strengthen runes, and Divine Gear quality becomes available for all items.
Ubisoft also listed new achievements, additional runes, a stash system and several rewards. Among the rewards is a Master Assassin outfit inspired by Naoe from Assassin's Creed Shadows.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla launched in 2020 and remains one of Ubisoft's most successful releases; by the time of the announcement it had surpassed 40 million players. Fans had requested New Game Plus for years, and Ubisoft had previously moved away from adding the feature.

Alongside the Valhalla news, Ubisoft confirmed that Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has received its final major content update, which introduced New Game Plus and more. The studio said Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe will get its next major update in 2027, that the multiplayer project Codename Invictus remains in development, and that no other Assassin's Creed remakes are currently being made.
