Studio Atelico launches on-device AI engine in Early Access

The Atelico AI Engine runs on-device and plugs into Unity, Unreal Engine and Godot, with access requested through Studio Atelico's website.

Studio Atelico released its Atelico AI Engine into Early Access on October 30, 2026. The engine runs on-device rather than relying on data centres, according to GamesIndustry.biz.

The tool works with Unity, Unreal Engine and Godot, and lets developers generate images, run language models, implement speech systems and create AI-driven character behaviours. It supports Windows, macOS, iOS and Linux on both GPU and CPU.

Developers can request access to the engine through Studio Atelico's website. CEO Piero Molino said studios that succeed will use AI in service of the player experience.

Showcase project and artist rights

Earlier in 2026, GamesIndustry.biz spoke with Studio Atelico about using its technology to develop Bobium Brawlers, a showcase project for the engine. Molino said at the time that the long-term aim is to be the Epic Games of AI, while he and chief product officer Chris Olson described the company's AI-first ecosystem as using generative AI trained on its artists' work.

Olson said Studio Atelico had released a draft document called ARC, the Artist Rights Contract.
