Games Workshop sets Blood Angels codex for spring 2027

Codex: Blood Angels arrives in spring 2027 with new miniatures, the first of them a returning Sanguinary High Priest Corbulo.

Games Workshop announced on Warhammer Community that Codex: Blood Angels will arrive in spring 2027, accompanied by new miniatures. The company did not specify how many models the release will include.

The first new model shown is a returning Sanguinary High Priest Corbulo, bearer of the Red Grail. The announcement was published under the title "Big news for Blood Angels".

According to the same announcement, spring 2027 will also bring new releases for Xenos, Chaos, and non-Space Marine Imperial armies.

The Blood Angels were the poster army for the current 11th Edition's Armageddon box set, and the faction has long drawn jokes from fans that it is ignored or neglected. By comparison, the Dark Angels received new heroes and troops at the beginning of 10th Edition, while a Steel Legion revamp has been long promised.

The Christmas Blood Angels Battleforce, which was announced earlier, was described as a weak entry compared with other boxes releasing at the same time. Kill Team: Armageddon and its Legion of the Damned have been described as one of the last major launches of the year.
