Analyst: Bloodborne sold over 251,000 copies in 2026, 10.4m lifetime

Alinea Analytics' Rhys Elliott estimates $317m in lifetime revenue and says over 500,000 played the game via PlayStation Plus in October.

Bloodborne sold more than 251,000 copies in 2026, according to Alinea Analytics head of market analyst Rhys Elliott, bringing estimated lifetime sales to 10.4 million copies. Elliott put total revenue for the FromSoftware title at $317m.

Elliott also claimed that more than half a million people played Bloodborne in October through PlayStation Plus. Among those subscribers, 12 percent reportedly played Elden Ring during the month, 6 percent played Dark Souls 3 and 5 percent played Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

The figures were reported by Eurogamer.

A PS4 exclusive that never got a port

Bloodborne remains a PlayStation 4 exclusive and has never received a port or remaster, though it can be played on PS5 through backwards compatibility with smoother frame pacing.

Before Sony closed Bluepoint Games in 2026, the studio reportedly pitched a Bloodborne remake that FromSoftware did not want to happen. When news of the pitch emerged, former Sony Interactive Entertainment executive Shuhei Yoshida said Bloodborne holds a special place in director Hidetaka Miyazaki's heart, and speculated that Miyazaki would prefer to make a remake himself but lacks the time.
