Final Fantasy 14: Evercold delayed to February 23, 2027
Square Enix also revealed the Zephyr Job and Evangelion raids at FFXIV Fan Fest in Japan, with pre-orders opening November 4.
Square Enix announced at the FFXIV Fan Fest in Japan that Final Fantasy 14: Evercold has been delayed and will now launch on February 23, 2027, according to screenrant.com. Early access to the expansion begins on February 19, 2027.
Pre-orders for Evercold open on November 4. Players who pre-order will receive a Wind-up Kottr Minion and Halone's Earring, an item that boosts EXP for Jobs under level 100.
Game director Yoshi-P also revealed the Zephyr Job, a ranged DPS that uses a crossbow and fights alongside a bird companion. Square Enix further announced that Evangelion raids are coming to Final Fantasy 14 as part of the Evercold content.
Previously planned for January
Evercold had originally been expected in January 2027 and will open The Godless Realms Saga for the MMORPG. A new Tank Job, Bastion, was revealed earlier this year.
The expansion follows Dawntrail, whose base content drew heavy criticism, while its post-MSQ content was received far more warmly.
