Derelikt, PSOne-Style Sci-Fi Horror, Launches on PS5 November 13
Solo developer Philipp Jensen's game is set aboard Von Neumann Outpost and includes retro visual effects players can toggle on or off.
Solo developer Philipp Jensen announced that Derelikt, a sci-fi horror game styled after the PSOne era, launches on PlayStation 5 on November 13. Pre-orders are open with a 10% discount ahead of release, according to PlayStation Blog.
The game is set aboard Von Neumann Outpost, a station built on an anomalous asteroid in Saturn's orbit. Players control an outside contractor searching for the missing Excavation Team Delta.
Derelikt includes more than a dozen characters to interact with, each with their own secrets and agendas. Its presentation uses hand-painted textures, vertex colour lighting, affine texture warping and retro-style CGI cutscenes, and players can toggle the retro visual effects on or off.
Derelikt has been in development in some form since late 2021.
