Unofficial Bloodborne PC Port Adds DLSS Frame Generation, Tops 200 FPS at 1080p

MxBenchmarkPC tested Super Medo's port on an RTX 4070 and passed 200 FPS at 1080p with DLSS Frame Generation enabled.

The unofficial PC port of Bloodborne created by Super Medo now supports NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation, wccftech.com reported. In a benchmark video published by the YouTube channel MxBenchmarkPC, the port surpassed 200 FPS at 1080p on an RTX 4070 with the feature turned on.

The same test showed native 1080p with DLAA running at around 220 FPS, and native 1440p with DLAA at around 130 FPS. At 4K the numbers drop sharply: native 4K with DLAA averaged around 40 FPS, while DLSS Quality pushed the port into the 100s FPS range and DLSS Performance landed at roughly 120-130 FPS.

Some developers are also working on path tracing support for the unofficial port, according to wccftech.com. The port is built on work from the shadPS4 emulator project, which first made it possible for PC players to run the game on their hardware.

Why the game is still running on PlayStation 4 code

Bloodborne has remained exclusive to PlayStation 4, and FromSoftware has shown no interest in remaking or porting it to modern hardware. On the original console it ran at a native 1080p with an uneven 30 FPS and widespread frame pacing issues; it was later demonstrated that running it at 60 FPS on PlayStation 5 with minimal intervention is possible.

FromSoftware is currently focused on new games, including The Duskbloods, an upcoming exclusive for Nintendo Switch 2.
