EA releases 25 classic games, including seven remasters
The bundle is out on Steam, GOG and the EA App, with six Wing Commander remasters and a 30th Anniversary Edition of Road Rash.
EA released a bundle of 25 classic games on Steam, GOG and the EA App on 5 November 2026, according to pcgamer.com. Seven of the titles are remastered Anniversary Editions, while the other 18 are straight re-releases.
The remasters are Road Rash: 30th Anniversary Edition, Wing Commander: 35th Anniversary Edition, Wing Commander II: Vengeance of the Kilrathi: 35th Anniversary Edition, Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger: 30th Anniversary Edition, Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom: 30th Anniversary Edition, Wing Commander Prophecy: 30th Anniversary Edition and Privateer 2: The Darkening: 30th Anniversary Edition.
The remaining re-releases include Wing Commander: Privateer, Wing Commander: Academy, Wing Commander: Armada, Strike Commander, Theme Hospital, Crusader: No Remorse, Crusader: No Regret and the Ultima series from Ultima I to Ultima IX, plus Ultima Underworld I and II. On GOG, only the seven remasters are new, since the other classics were already available there.
EA says the remasters preserve each game's original look, feel and creative intent while adding quality-of-life updates for modern systems, controls and performance. The remastered cinematic scenes were recovered by digitizing a physical media vault of Betacam, VHS and D1 tapes, restoring over 1,500 cinematic scenes across the seven titles.
Wing Commander remasters
News that Wing Commander III would get a remaster emerged in October 2026, when producer Jim Vessella, who leads the Wing Commander remaster project, revealed it during a presentation at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo. Vessella also had a major role in the Command and Conquer Remastered Collection.
