EA Staff Describe Low Morale After Layoffs, BioWare Closure

Current and former employees told Vertical Slice that morale is poor and criticised cost-cutting, about a week after EA's latest layoffs.

Current and former EA employees have described low morale and criticised the publisher's cost-cutting in anonymous accounts published by Vertical Slice about a week after EA's latest round of layoffs.

The employees spoke to Vertical Slice on condition of anonymity. Their accounts focused on working conditions at the publisher following the cuts.

Last week, BioWare announced it was shutting down as part of the same layoffs. The cuts hit many EA studios and reportedly eliminated around 400 jobs.

EA has not publicly responded to the Vertical Slice accounts.
