Grand Theft Auto VI Set to Launch November 19, 2026

Rockstar Games' open-world title arrives more than 10 years after the previous Grand Theft Auto entry, just over two weeks after Collider's report.

Grand Theft Auto VI is set to launch on November 19, 2026, according to Collider, placing the Rockstar Games title just over two weeks away from the article's publication on November 3, 2026.

The game has been described as one of the most anticipated video games of all time, and the gap since the last new Grand Theft Auto entry stands at more than 10 years.

The road to that date was a long one. GTA 6 was originally expected in 2024, then delayed to 2025 and then to May 2026 before the release settled on November 19, 2026.

The surrounding 2026 calendar has been busy. Blood of the Dawnwalker, from the team behind The Witcher 3, was a surprise hit this year, while The Witcher 3 itself received a remaster for next-generation consoles at the end of September 2026. Marvel's Wolverine from Insomniac, by contrast, was one of the biggest gaming disappointments of 2026 so far.

A high bar at The Game Awards

Rockstar's last major release, Red Dead Redemption 2, lost the 2018 Game of the Year award at The Game Awards to God of War. Grand Theft Auto VI will arrive with similar expectations attached.
