INANIMA demo launches with native Linux support
Obscure Tales' survival-horror title offers a playable demo on Linux, with light- and sound-sensitive enemies and limb-targeting combat.
A demo for the survival-horror game INANIMA is now available and includes native Linux support, according to gamingonlinux.com. The game is in development at Obscure Tales.
INANIMA draws on classic Resident Evil and SIGNALIS as inspirations. Its story follows Jacob Miller, who joins a ten-day trial at Spira, an isolated food and nutrition facility.
The game uses pixel-art visuals with dynamic lighting. Combat offers both ranged and melee weapons and lets players target limbs and vital areas, while enemies respond to light and sound.
Obscure Tales previously developed Lamentum. The studio has not announced a release date or platforms for INANIMA beyond the demo.
