Library Of Ruina certified as longest game campaign at 113 hours
ProjectMoon says Guinness World Records confirmed the 113-hour campaign, beating Persona 5 Royal by 12 hours.
ProjectMoon announced on October 27 that Library Of Ruina has been certified by Guinness World Records as the video game with the longest campaign or story. The certified playtime is 113 hours, according to the announcement reported by Automaton.
The figure exceeds Persona 5 Royal, the previous holder of the title, by 12 hours. Persona 5 Royal had been regarded as the longest at 101 hours on HowLongToBeat, 12 hours shorter than Library Of Ruina's 113 hours.
Library Of Ruina was certified by Guinness in June, ahead of the October 27 announcement. The game is available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, with Japanese language support.
The title shares its world with Lobotomy Corporation, whose Main Story is recorded at 58.5 hours on HowLongToBeat. ProjectMoon also operates Limbus Company, a free-to-play service title that continues to receive updates.
At the time of writing, Library Of Ruina holds about 41,000 Steam user reviews, 94% of which are positive, giving it a "Very Positive" status.
