The film is written and directed by Akash Sherman and produced for Canada's Super Channel. Filming began two years before BioWare's closure was announced and continued through it.
The documentary includes interviews with BioWare founders Ray Muzyka, Greg Zeschuk and Augustine Yip, Mass Effect director Casey Hudson and Shepard voice actor Jennifer Hale. It also features former EA CEO John Riccitiello, Lucasfilm Games vice president Douglas Reilly and The Game Awards creator Geoff Keighley.
BioWare was founded in 1995 and was closed last month following the private acquisition of owner EA. Game designer Warren Spector criticised EA's decision to close the studio, and a petition has gathered enough signatures for the Canadian government to potentially intervene over the closure.
