Micromania Cancels Zelda: Ocarina of Time Midnight Launch in France
The French retailer will instead offer its exclusive N64-style PAL box bonus through a random draw, with 5,000 boxes available.
French video game retailer Micromania said on Twitter that it is cancelling its midnight launch plans for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time at all of its locations, according to gamerant.com.
The remake is scheduled to arrive exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on 5 نوفمبر 2026, and Micromania had planned to open its stores at midnight for the release.
The retailer confirmed it will still offer its exclusive N64-style PAL box bonus, but the item will now be distributed through a random draw among customers who pre-order the game from Micromania rather than handed out on a first-come basis. A total of 5,000 of the exclusive boxes will be made available.
The original The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was released in 1998 on the Nintendo 64.
