Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Starts November 6 With Three New Maps

Infinity Ward's Season 1 roadmap adds Backstab, Canyon and Shoot House, plus Grind, Drop Zone and Gauntlet 1v1.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 begins on Friday, November 6, with three new medium-sized multiplayer maps, three new modes and two DMZ operators, Infinity Ward has revealed. The roadmap covers the launch of the season and the mid-season update that follows it.

The maps joining the multiplayer rotation are Backstab, Canyon and Shoot House, the last of which is set in North Korea. Crash also receives Kill Block, a set of three static slabs that Infinity Ward picked by hand from the most popular combinations used during the MW4 beta.

Season 1 brings Grind and Drop Zone back to the mode list alongside Gauntlet 1v1. In DMZ, two new operators, XERO and Blix, are tied to a North Korean presence at an old Russian weapons facility designated X01 near Hajin's borders.

Warzone, Halloween and the mid-season update

Warzone will add Hajin and Zodiac and bring back Verdansk and Rebirth Island, with a full rundown planned for Monday, November 2. Before the season starts, the Halloween mode Possession arrives on Thursday, October 29 and transports players to the location of the enemy they kill, while Infected returns on Friday, October 30.

The battle pass uses a 100-tier track and a catch-up system that guarantees at least 50 rewards from the premium pass. The mid-season reloaded update adds maps including Ministry and Overflow, along with the mode Counter Attack, according to PCGamesN.
