Moor-Art's Mass Effect art print collection up for preorder November 6

The limited-edition collection features original work by Matt Essom and Dan Mumford, including two Commander Shepard variants of a Mass Effect 2 poster.

Moor-Art will open preorders for a limited-edition Mass Effect art print collection on Friday, November 6 at 10 AM PT, the company announced. Orders will be taken through the Moor-Art website, according to GameSpot.

The collection features original artwork by Matt Essom and Dan Mumford, drawing on the characters and worlds of the Mass Effect series. Essom's print is limited to 200 hand-numbered copies worldwide, with an additional 30 Giclée prints that come with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.

Mumford's Mass Effect 2 poster will be sold in two editions: one featuring the male version of Commander Shepard and one featuring FemShep. Each variant is limited to 150 hand-numbered prints, alongside 30 Giclée prints of each Shepard version, certified and signed by the artist.

The designs will also be available as T-shirts. Moor-Art has said it began working with BioWare on the poster collection more than a year ago.

Background

BioWare, the studio behind Mass Effect, was shut down last month, according to the article. EA, which announced a sale on items from the BioWare Gear store, drew criticism from the studio's fans; the article states the shutdown decision followed EA's acquisition by an investor consortium led by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. Efforts to save the studio include a Change.org petition and Canadian fans appealing to lawmakers.
