Nintendo sets November 2 demo for Pikmin 4 on Switch 2

Save data from the November 2 demo carries into the November 12 launch of the Switch 2 edition of Pikmin 4, Nintendo says.

Nintendo will distribute a demo of the Nintendo Switch 2 edition of Pikmin 4 on November 2, 2026, ahead of the full game's release on November 12, the company said in an announcement video reported by 4gamer.net.

The demo covers the early area of the game and two stages of the Dandori Test mode, an extra mode included in the Switch 2 edition. Save data from the demo can be carried over to the full game.

Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo's representative director and fellow, appeared in the announcement video. The company has also designated November 1 as "Pikmin Day", a date chosen to evoke three Pikmin standing in a row.

Alongside the game, Nintendo is producing an original short movie series titled "Hello! Pikmin", to be published monthly, including through the smartphone app Nintendo Today!. Two shorts will arrive in November, one of them on November 1.
