Office Hodota to crowdfund VRChat full-tracking loungewear Fukutora
The CAMPFIRE project for the VR loungewear opens on November 16 at 20:00 and runs until December 27, with a target of 200,000 yen.
Office Hodota will launch a CAMPFIRE crowdfunding campaign on November 16 at 20:00 for Fukutora, a set of loungewear designed for full-body tracking in VRChat, the company announced. The campaign runs until December 27 with a target of 200,000 yen, according to news.denfaminicogamer.jp.
Fukutora is built so that full-tracking trackers attach directly to the garment. Dedicated belts and a continuous belt loop let wearers adjust the fit at three levels, and the mounting points come in 25mm and 30mm versions. The company says the loop design works with many of the trackers already on the market.
The back of the garment adds a pocket cover structure intended to reduce discomfort for users who sleep in VR with a headset on, a practice the project refers to as V-sleep. A large kangaroo pocket can hold controllers, a phone or a 500ml bottle.
The garment uses a two-layer structure that lets the trackers be removed on their own, so it can be washed without taking off the belts. Office Hodota says the fastening structure is patent pending.
