Path of Exile 2 gets Conquerors of Wraeclast league

Grinding Gear Games announced a new league for Path of Exile 2, Conquerors of Wraeclast, during the ExileCon 2026 keynote in Auckland, New Zealand, on November 7, according to inven.co.kr.

The league opens with an event in which the player rescues captured mercenaries and meets their leader, Varek, who proposes cooperation. Before battles, players deploy troops, and the roles and positioning of those units affect how efficiently a fight goes. Mercenaries are hired with gold, while expeditions require supplies gathered from supply crates.

The campaign spans more than 70 major locations and 23 battles built around mercenary recruitment and sieges. Defeating league bosses yields keys to fortress vaults holding gold, loot and new crafting materials. Crimson Iron lets players select options on equipment to be replaced at a Reforging Bench with new random options that then become locked, while Infused Blood adds specific new options instead of random ones, with different option lists for each blood type.

Fortresses and faction territory in the endgame

In the endgame, players can build their own fortress in one of three architectural styles — Ezomite, Maraketh or Karui — each offering more than 20 buildings and upgrades. High Arbiter Atella was shown as the first independent Commander, able to run Atlas maps for the player and keep the gold earned.

The league also introduces a shared Atlas with 100 fortresses outside the Atlas where factions compete for territory, with ownership granting item rarity bonuses. Hunting Grounds maps around a captured fortress are available to all players of the owning faction, with extra reward options.
