Phantom Blade Zero Hits 431,541 Steam Players After Launch

S-Game's wuxia action title launched on October 28, 2026, and now sits second on Steam's most-played chart behind Counter-Strike 2.

Phantom Blade Zero launched on October 28, 2026, and reached a peak of 431,541 concurrent players on Steam, according to Eurogamer. At the time of writing, the S-Game title is Steam's second most-played game, sitting below Counter-Strike 2.

The wuxia action game also leads Steam's global top sellers chart, having climbed 16 places this week. Early Steam user reviews give it a Mostly Positive average.

Rhys Elliott of Alinea Analytics estimated that Phantom Blade Zero has sold 850,000 copies across PC and PlayStation 5. Elliott added that sales on Tencent WeGame in China were enough to bring the total to well above 1m copies. Eurogamer reported that Phantom Blade Zero could exceed 500,000 peak concurrent players on Steam by the weekend.

Short of Black Myth: Wukong's launch

A few days before launch, Elliott estimated the game had sold 500,000 copies on Steam, and said 80,000 copies were sold after reviews were published two days before the October 28 release.

For comparison, Black Myth: Wukong peaked at 2,415,714 concurrent players on Steam when it released in 2024 and is estimated to have sold over 30m copies lifetime. Elliott said he does not believe Phantom Blade Zero will reach that level of success.
