Kojima Shows 150-Page Physint Story Doc at Tokyo Exhibition

Kojima Productions displayed confidential Physint production materials and concept art at Beyond the Strand, which opened in Tokyo on October 31.

Kojima Productions has put a confidential story document for Physint on display at its tenth-anniversary exhibition Beyond the Strand, which opened in Tokyo on October 31, according to gamerant.com. The materials are described as internal production documents rather than a public reveal of the espionage game.

The Japanese document is reported to exceed 150 pages, while its English translation reportedly runs to roughly 50,000 words. Its cover bears the phrase "A New Cold War Begins."

The document also lists three intelligence-gathering disciplines: HUMINT, SIGINT and OSINT. Concept art for the game was shown at the exhibition as well.

The full document has not been made public, and access is reportedly limited to selected actors, artists and others involved in the project. No gameplay footage for Physint has been shown.

Earlier announcements

Physint was first announced in 2024 as a Kojima Productions project in partnership with Xbox, following an earlier association with PlayStation. In September, Bill Skarsgård was first confirmed as the lead. In October, Hideo Kojima said on his Koji10 radio program that the game is about spies but that he wants plenty of new ideas and a different kind of spy action. The tagline "A New Cold War Begins" had already appeared on Physint's September promotional artwork.
