Riot Details Revamped 2027 VCT Pacific Format and Team Subsidies

Eight partner teams remain for 2027, while non-partner teams get fixed subsidies of up to 400,000 USD, Riot Games announced.

Riot Games announced on October 28 the structure and details of the revamped Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific for 2027, including a subsidy system for non-partner teams and a regional allocation of Cup slots, according to game.donga.com.

The eight VCT Pacific partner teams for 2027 are T1, Gen.G, Paper Rex, ZETA DIVISION, Full Sense, Rex Regum Qeon, Crazy Raccoon and GAM Esports. Crazy Raccoon of Japan and GAM Esports of Vietnam are the two newly added partners. The eight will stay with VCT until at least 2028, with partnerships renewed every two years.

The Kickoff event keeps all eight partner teams and adds four teams that advance from open qualifiers through play-ins and playoffs. Non-partner teams receive fixed subsidies: 100,000 USD each for Kickoff and Cups, 200,000 USD for Masters and 400,000 USD for Champions.

Cup slots are divided by region: 3 for Korea, 3 for Japan, 2 for Southeast Asia, and 1 each for Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam, plus 1 for the Last Chance Qualifier.

The 2027 VCT Pacific season begins its schedule in November 2026, with open qualifier registration opening soon. Riot said further details on the schedule and format will be announced later.
