'SAVE MASS EFFECT' graffiti appears at EA's Madrid office gate
A Reddit user posted images of the graffiti, while a Change.org petition urging EA to keep the series going has passed a quarter million signatures.
Graffiti reading "SAVE MASS EFFECT" has been found in front of the gate of EA's Madrid office and on a wall facing the building, according to a Reddit user who posted about it. The Madrid site largely works on EA Sports titles.
The graffiti follows a fan campaign that includes a Change.org petition asking EA to continue making Mass Effect games, with or without BioWare. The petition has gathered well over a quarter of a million signatures.
Earlier in October 2026, EA announced it was closing BioWare, the studio behind the Mass Effect series. A few days before the graffiti was found, fans bought a 15-second ad spot in Times Square.
The petition's demand is addressed to EA directly and does not condition the series' future on any particular studio. EA has not commented on the graffiti or the petition.
