SCRAP's Cthulhu escape game opens October 29, 2026

The Tokyo Mystery Circus attraction casts players as undercover police trying to stop a cult's summoning ritual in 60 minutes.

SCRAP will open a Cthulhu Mythos-themed real escape game at Tokyo Mystery Circus on October 29, 2026, the company announced. In the game, participants play undercover police investigators who infiltrate a shady cult and must stop a ritual to summon an evil deity within a 60-minute time limit.

Actor Sano Shirō serves as the game's official ambassador and voices the cult's priest. TRPG scenario writer Dism took part in a special talk session with Sano, and the two tried a venue-exclusive drink inspired by the deity Nyarlathotep, the Black Lemonade.

SCRAP describes a different format from its previous Cthulhu Mythos title, The Escape from the Mountains of Madness, in which groups of four progressed inside tents. The new game has many participants solving puzzles together in one space.
