ConcernedApe says Stardew Valley 1.7 may be the biggest update yet

Speaking at a Symphony of Seasons concert at Red Rocks, the creator said the update is "jam-packed" and will probably arrive next year.

ConcernedApe said the 1.7 update for Stardew Valley is looking to be the largest update in the game's history and is "jam-packed," according to gamesradar.com. The creator, also named Eric Barone, made the comment at a Stardew Valley Symphony of Seasons concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

He said the update will probably come out sometime next year. No specific release date was given.

On the content side, ConcernedApe said the characters Clint and Sandy are "just the tip of the iceberg" and that there is much more in the update. It was already known, before this announcement, that both characters will become marriage candidates and that a new farm type will be added in 1.7.

The creator has been working on 1.7 for some time and has been teasing fans about what to expect. Earlier updates, 1.5 and 1.6, added regions, festivals and more.

Separately, ConcernedApe has previously said his next game, Haunted Chocolatier, is taking a long time to get right.
