Valve launches Steam Personal Calendar after Labs test

The feature recommends games based on playtime, wishlists and similar players' habits, and shows eight weeks of release dates.

Valve officially released Steam's Personal Calendar feature on October 26, 2026, according to 4gamer.net. The tool, which was previously tested in Steam Labs, is now available from the Steam front page and a dedicated page.

Recommendations combine a user's recent playtime with wishlists and the play history of players with similar tastes. Games played for long periods carry more weight than titles tried only briefly, and the system refreshes daily with the latest data.

The dedicated page lists release information for the next eight weeks. Filters cover wishlisted games, DLC and early access titles, and the calendar shows the full release dates of games currently in early access.

Valve says the feature was optimised for PC, mobile and SteamOS devices, and that an average of more than 2,000 different titles are clicked per day through Personal Calendar. Listings are selected automatically by algorithm, with no manual curation and no advertising slots sold.

From experiment to release

In October 2025, the feature arrived as an experimental initiative in Steam Labs and was improved based on feedback from players and developers.
