Webzen reported third-quarter operating profit of 5.3 billion won, down 29% year-on-year, and revenue of 36 billion won, down 18% year-on-year, according to techm.kr. The company said it will showcase two upcoming titles, Defense Game's Tyrant: LAST STAGE and MU Theos, at G-Star in November.

Revenue by IP in the quarter was 22.3 billion won for MU, 7.7 billion won for Metin2, 2.9 billion won for R2 and 900 million won for Shot Online. Overseas revenue accounted for 55% of the quarter's total at 18.4 billion won.

G-Star plans

Defense Game's Tyrant: LAST STAGE, a strategy RPG based on the Naver webtoon of the same name, will offer its first playable demo at the show. MU Theos, an MMORPG built on the MU IP, will present a teaser video instead. A third MU title, Project G, is also in development on Unreal Engine 5.

In October 2025, Webzen said it was preparing multiple large new titles to turn its performance around after a stretch without new releases. CEO Kim Tae-young said the company is making company-wide efforts to overcome the slump caused by delayed new releases.
