Wemade Connect signs global publishing deal for RPG OZ
The new subculture RPG, built on 2025's OZ: Rewrite, targets a launch next year in Korea, North America and Taiwan.
Wemade Connect announced on October 26, 2026 that it has signed a publishing contract with developer Superblock for the collectible RPG OZ, with a global launch targeted for next year in regions including Korea, North America and Taiwan.
OZ is being developed from OZ: Rewrite, a subculture RPG that launched in the Japanese market in 2025. The new title reuses the world and character assets of that game while overhauling its battle, progression and business model systems, and its direction has been reset as a male-oriented subculture RPG.
The game is set in Merhen, an otherworldly realm that adopted Earth's civilization. Players take the role of a protagonist identified as the reincarnation of the founder OZ and build bonds with other heroes.
Combat runs on intuitive auto-battle built around attribute matchups and skill chains. Content includes character-specific stories, PvP duels and limited-time boss raids.
The two companies plan to run a user test before launch to collect feedback and improve the game's completeness. Wemade Connect is a subsidiary of Wemade Max.
