Wendy's announces WendyQuest pixel RPG for Steam

Wendy's is making WendyQuest: Legend of the Four Corner Stones with developer 81monkeys, a 2D turn-based RPG starring its mascot. No release date is set.

Wendy's has announced WendyQuest: Legend of the Four Corner Stones, an official 2D pixel-art turn-based role-playing game coming to Steam, according to gamerant.com. Developer 81monkeys is building the title, and no release date has been set.

Wendy, the chain's mascot, stars as the hero. Her party includes the French Fry Archer, the Spicy Chickeneer and the Frosty Mage, and the story follows her fight against the villain Dr. Mechborg and his organization Mech Corp to save the kingdom of Savoria.

The game spans five food-themed regions. Enemies include Golden Archers and Hot Sludge Sundaes, and combat adds timing-based bonus damage on top of the turn-based structure.

Fast-food chain games have a long history: McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure arrived on the Sega Genesis, and Burger King released Sneak King on Xbox 360. In 2019 KFC released I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin' Good Dating Simulator, and McDonald's put out Grimace's Birthday in 2023.
