WoW: Forever Beta Patch Nerfs Undead Racial, Buffs Other Races

Blizzard cut Touch of the Grave to fixed proc chances with a 25-second cooldown in the final beta patch, while Humans, Dwarves and others got buffs.

Blizzard's final beta patch for World of Warcraft: Forever significantly nerfed Touch of the Grave, the Undead racial passive, according to gamerant.com. The change landed as the studio prepared the game for its November 4 release.

Touch of the Grave now has a fixed 20% proc chance on melee attacks and a 30% chance on spells, with a 25-second cooldown. Previously the passive had a low proc chance on any hit that was not damage over time, and no significant cooldown.

The same patch handed buffs to most other races: Humans, Dwarves, Tauren, Trolls, Orcs and Gnomes all received improvements. Skyborne elves saw their Haste bonus rise to 3% from 1%.

More balance passes promised

Blizzard said the game will receive further balance passes in its early weeks.

World of Warcraft: Forever was announced at BlizzCon earlier this year and ran a beta from September 17 to October 21. The Undead Paladin is playable for the first time in the game, and in World of Warcraft retail the Undead are one of the weakest races.
