Wuthering Waves Ver3.8 launches November 12 with new Resonator Lily

KURO GAMES said the update adds a new area, Chapter 4 Act 5 of the main story and a permanent campus mini-event with multiple endings.

KURO GAMES announced on November 6 that the Ver3.8 update for Wuthering Waves will be released on November 12, according to automaton-media.com. The update is titled in Japanese and introduces a new area alongside the next part of the main story.

The new Resonator is Lily, a Spectro-attribute character who fights with a pistol. She throws perfume bottles in combat and can heal herself and her allies with her skill. Her Resonance Liberation puts her to sleep and summons a dream bell that pulls in enemies while continuously healing allies.

Ver3.8 continues the main story with Chapter 4 Act 5 of the Tidebreaking Quest line. The update also adds a new area, whose name is given in Japanese, and a permanent mini-event in which players attend a academy as a transfer student, taking part in campus activities that lead to multiple endings.

System changes and platform support

KURO GAMES is adding several quality-of-life features: automatic Echo set switching tied to an attribute switch, a beta recommended-team feature, map pins that link to material dungeons, and continuous challenge runs. Split resource downloading arrives for the PC version, and the Steam version will require players to reinstall the client.

On PlayStation 5 Pro, the update adds PSSR support intended to improve image quality.
