Adam Driver said he will not reprise his role as Adam Sackler in HBO's planned revival of Girls, according to CinemaBlend. The actor also wished the revival's team the best of luck.
The revival is set to begin production in 2027. It was announced last month by Lena Dunham and her co-stars in an announcement video that featured Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet and Andrew Rannells.
Girls ran for six seasons on HBO from 2012 to 2017, with Dunham starring as Hannah Horvath.
Dunham has said she did not write Adam's character to be a romantic hero. In her memoir Famesick, she wrote that Driver was "verbally aggressive" during filming; when asked about the claim at Cannes, Driver declined to comment.
