Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 Stars Tease Claudette's New York Ripper Hunt
Brian Cox plays the New York Ripper when Dexter: Resurrection season 2 debuts on Paramount+ on October 30, with Kadia Saraf as Claudette Wallace.
Dexter: Resurrection season 2 will premiere on Paramount+ on October 30, and its cast has teased the season's central case: Claudette Wallace's long pursuit of the New York Ripper, according to screenrant.com. Kadia Saraf plays Claudette, while Brian Cox plays the New York Ripper.
Saraf and co-star Dominic Fumusa, who portrays Detective Melvin Oliva, discussed the storyline in an interview. Claudette has been obsessed with the New York Ripper case for most of her career, and the character is first introduced on screen in season 2 after being discussed throughout season 1.
The setup echoes a familiar device from the wider franchise. In Dexter season 2, Special Agent Frank Lundy was introduced while hunting the Bay Harbor Butcher, and in season 4 he pursued the Trinity Killer alongside Dexter Morgan. Lundy was shot and killed before resolving the Trinity Killer case.
The franchise began with Jeff Lindsay's novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter in 2004. The original Dexter series ran for eight seasons and 96 episodes until its conclusion in 2013, and Dexter: New Blood revived it 18 years later.
