Random House Sets Official Godfather Novel Connie for Fall 2027
Adriana Trigiani's estate-authorized novel retells Mario Puzo's original story from the perspective of Constanzia "Connie" Corleone.
Random House will publish Connie, a new officially authorized novel set in the world of The Godfather, in fall 2027, according to Screen Rant. The book is authored by Adriana Trigiani.
Connie retells the events of Mario Puzo's original Godfather novel from the perspective of Constanzia "Connie" Corleone, the daughter of the Corleone family played by Talia Shire in the film trilogy. It is the first estate-authorized Godfather novel written by a woman.
The Puzo estate approached Trigiani after she published an essay about the limited attention given to the Corleone family's women in the original story. Anthony Puzo, Mario Puzo's son and the executor of his estate, said the family wanted someone who could revisit the story from a different perspective, and that Trigiani's vision impressed them.

Trigiani's previous books include The Shoemaker's Wife, Lucia, Lucia and The Queen of the Big Time.
