HBO has confirmed the actors playing James and Lily Potter and Charlie Weasley in season 1 of its Harry Potter series, according to screenrant.com. Jasper Talbot will play James Potter and Hannah Chinn will play Lily Potter, while Harry Gilby has been cast as Charlie Weasley.
The first season adapts Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and premieres on December 25 on HBO and HBO Max.
The three join a cast that was largely revealed before the premiere, including Dominic McLaughlin as Harry, Alastair Stout as Ron, Arabella Stanton as Hermione, John Lithgow as Dumbledore, Nick Frost as Hagrid, Paapa Essiedu as Snape, Janet McTeer as McGonagall and Lox Pratt as Draco.
The series has already been renewed for season 2 and has begun production, with Kit Harington as Gilderoy Lockhart, Bonnie Hill as Ginny Weasley, Lenny Rush as Dobby, Billy Barratt as Tom Riddle, Molly Hewitt-Richards as Moaning Myrtle and Jasper Ambrose as Colin Creevey.

In the films, Adrian Rawlins and Geraldine Somerville played the adult versions of James and Lily. Charlie Weasley never appeared on screen apart from a Weasley family photograph in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, played by Alex Crockford in an uncredited role.
