Hearst Networks UK has bought UK rights to Orange County Choppers Originals from Off The Fence, which will handle worldwide distribution outside the U.S.
Hearst Networks UK has acquired UK rights to the revival series Orange County Choppers Originals from distributor Off The Fence, the companies said. The deal marks the first international sale for the revived franchise.
Off The Fence will represent the series worldwide excluding the U.S. and will offer it to buyers at MIPCOM in Cannes.
A second season has been ordered, doubling the episode count to 12.
Background
The American Chopper franchise began in 2002 with American Chopper, built around the Orange County Choppers custom bike business. Orange County Choppers Originals launched in February and aired in the U.S. on Discovery Channel, Discovery Turbo TV, Discovery+, and Discovery GO.
There had been no new American Chopper episodes since 2020's finale, American Chopper: The Last Ride. The franchise previously broadcast in 160 territories in 35 languages worldwide. A six-year gap in the franchise was caused by legal problems between Paul Teutul Sr. and Paul Teutul Jr., which were eventually settled and followed by an on-screen reunion.
