Heysel 85 held its Asian premiere at the Tokyo Film Festival, ahead of its theatrical releases in Belgium and the UK, according to Deadline. The film opens in Belgium on November 18 via Kinepolis and in the UK on November 20 through Icon.

The drama is directed by Teodora Ana Mihai, who co-wrote the screenplay with Lode Desmet and Isabelle Darras. The cast includes Violet Braeckman as Marie and Matteo Simoni as an Italian journalist. Marius Panduru is the director of photography, and Hans Everaert is a producer.
