James Gunn says DCU Batman is not cast yet, but casting is not far off
DC Studios' James Gunn confirmed the DCU Batman has not been cast, adding that the character will be roughly the same age as Superman.
James Gunn said the DCU's Batman has not been cast yet, but that casting is not very far away, according to gamesradar.com. The DC Studios co-CEO also said Batman and Superman are roughly around the same age in the DCU.
Gunn addressed the question of whether actors who have already appeared in his projects would be ruled out of the role, saying past roles would not disqualify anyone from playing Batman.
The character's age gives some shape to the search. In the 2025 Superman film, Superman is in his early 30s, which places the DCU's Batman in a similar range.
