James Gunn: Jai Courtney Won't Return as Captain Boomerang in DCU
DC Studios co-head James Gunn said the actor could play a different character, citing the DCU rule that dead characters stay dead.
James Gunn has said Jai Courtney will not play Captain Boomerang again in the DCU, though the actor could take on a different character in the franchise. The DC Studios co-head's comments were reported by comingsoon.net.
Gunn pointed to the DCU rule that characters who die stay dead, apart from clones, as the reason Courtney will not return in the role.
Courtney previously played Captain Boomerang in 2021's The Suicide Squad, which Gunn directed. The character was killed during the beach battle on Corto Maltese.
