Kamen Rider Kabuto 20th film holds first-day stage greeting in Tokyo

Original cast members Yuki Sato, Hidenori Tokuyama, Kazuki Kato and others joined director Hidenori Ishida at Shinjuku Wald 9.

The first-day stage greeting for the V-Cinext film 'Kamen Rider Kabuto 20th: Ten o Tsugu Mono' was held at Shinjuku Wald 9 on November 6, according to cinematoday.jp. Yuki Sato, Hidenori Tokuyama, Kazuki Kato, Tomohisa Yuge, Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi and director Hidenori Ishida attended.

Sato, who plays Kagami Arata, said director Ishida still casually tells him "Kagami, fly!" 20 years later. Ishida said the shoot this time was easy because the cast understood the script deeply.

The film is now showing for a limited run at Shinjuku Wald 9 and elsewhere. A Blu-ray and DVD release is set for Wednesday, February 10, 2027.

Twenty years after the TV series

Kamen Rider Kabuto aired from 2006 to 2007 as the seventh Heisei Kamen Rider series, centred on Tendou Soji (played by Hiro Mizushima) and the fight between the secret organisation ZECT and the alien Worms.

The new V-Cinext is set 20 years after the TV series' battle, in a world where humans and Worms walk a path of coexistence while Tendou's whereabouts remain unknown.
