Lee Child Announces Zero Margin, First Neagley-Led Novel

Zero Margin, co-written with Yasmin Angoe and due in 2027, launches a new book series centered on Frances Neagley in the Reacher universe.

Lee Child has announced a new thriller titled Zero Margin, set for release in 2027, according to screenrant.com. The novel is co-written with author Yasmin Angoe and places Frances Neagley at the center of her own book series for the first time.

Zero Margin is set within the Reacher universe. In the story, Neagley assembles a team to rescue the kidnapped son of her former commanding officer. Two books have been announced for the new Neagley series.

The announcement extends a character who has appeared alongside Jack Reacher in the novels and on screen. Prime Video produced a Reacher adaptation and a spinoff series titled Neagley.

A franchise in transition

After more than three decades and over 30 novels, Lee Child stepped away from writing the Reacher series, with his brother Andrew Child taking over as main writer. At first the two co-authored the Reacher novels; in more recent releases Lee Child revealed he is now hands-off, only reading the novels after development reaches the publisher.
