'Liar' Episode 2 Reveals Kang Ji-seon, Not Min Jun-ho, Failed Lie Test

MBC's Friday-Saturday drama held a 1.9% nationwide rating as the lie detector result shifted suspicion onto Seo Hyun-jin's character, according to Nielsen Korea.

Episode 2 of MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Liar' aired on October 31, 2026, and recorded a nationwide rating of 1.9%, according to Nielsen Korea. The episode revealed the results of the lie detector test, showing that Kang Ji-seon (Seo Hyun-jin), not Min Jun-ho (Yoo Yeon-seok), was the one who lied.

The test was arranged at the suggestion of police officer Lee Hwa-yeong (Ok Ja-yeon). The episode also disclosed that Kang Ji-seon had been involved in a similar incident in the past.

Numbers stayed flat: episode 1 of 'Liar', directed by Jo Yeong-min from a script by Baek Jae-yeong, also drew 1.9%. In the earlier episodes, Min Jun-ho and Kang Ji-seon had what looked like a perfect first date, after which Kang Ji-seon reported him to police, saying the encounter was forced while he said it was not. Police did not send the case to prosecution, citing a lack of evidence beyond the conflicting statements; Min Jun-ho was subsequently removed from surgery and Kang Ji-seon's daily life was shaken.
