Mike Flanagan's Carrie Series Now Streaming on Prime Video
The adaptation includes a LaMerk Industries sign that nods to Flanagan's planned The Dark Tower series, plus a nod to The Shining.
Mike Flanagan's Carrie television series has begun streaming on Prime Video. The adaptation of Stephen King's novel arrives with an Easter egg aimed at a different King story: a sign reading "LaMerk, Coming Soon" appears as Carrie's father, Ralph, arrives at work. LaMerk Industries is a fictional company tied to Flanagan's planned The Dark Tower adaptation.
Flanagan has said his Carrie takes place "on a certain level of the Tower," connecting the series to The Dark Tower. The final episode also includes a mention of "the shine," linking the show to The Shining.
The connections follow Flanagan's earlier King work. In 2022, he acquired the rights to develop a Dark Tower TV series as part of his deal with Amazon Studios, and he previously directed the film adaptation of Doctor Sleep.
