Hannah Leder and Alexandra Kotcheff will write, direct and co-star in the film, which is set to shoot in spring 2027.

Simon Pegg, Mark Duplass and Haley Joel Osment are attached to star in the dark comedy My Phone Died, according to Variety. Hyde Park International has acquired all international rights to the film ahead of the American Film Market.

The film will be written and directed by Hannah Leder and Alexandra Kotcheff, who will also appear on screen. Pegg plays a Hollywood agent named Gus, Duplass plays one of his clients and Osment plays a social media influencer. Kotcheff plays Francis and Leder plays Lillie.

My Phone Died is a Fire Tiger Films and Thank You So Much production and is scheduled to shoot in spring 2027.

The project is not the first collaboration between Leder and Kotcheff as writer-directors. In 2019, the pair released the indie comedy-drama The Planters, their first feature together in those roles.
