Frankie Sin's 'My Silly Flirty Boys' Pitches at Taiwan Creative Content Fest
The documentary, filmed with Taiwanese influencer Fufu over nine years, is seeking gap financing in Taipei to complete post-production.
Frankie Sin's documentary My Silly Flirty Boys is being presented at the Taiwan Creative Content Fest in Taipei, where the team is seeking gap financing to finish post-production, according to Variety. The festival runs Nov. 6–9 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center.
Sin, a Taiwan-based Hong Kong filmmaker, followed Taiwanese influencer Fufu from 2017 to 2026. Fufu became known for dance routines in high heels and for the online channel FJ234, which is shutting down in 2026.
The team is logging nine years of footage ahead of a rough cut, with picture lock targeted for the third quarter of 2027. Stefano Centini and Chuti Chang are executive producers; Henry Leong and Peter Yam are producers.
Alongside financing, the team is looking to meet co-producers, sales agents and festival programmers for a worldwide release.
Two more projects in development
Sin is also developing two further documentaries, An Island Boy and Nomads of the Island. More than 10 years before the Variety report, Sin moved to Taiwan from a conservative outlying island of Hong Kong, and met Fufu in 2016. The shoot spans the years around Taiwan's legalization of same-sex marriage.
