The Fall 4K Remaster Gets One-Week Japan Anniversary Run

The remastered film returns to Japanese cinemas from December 4 to 10, 2026, one year after its 2025 release, with a visitor giveaway planned.

A 4K digital remaster of The Fall will return to Japanese theaters for one week only, from December 4 to December 10, 2026, marking the first anniversary of the remaster's 2025 Japanese release, cinemacafe.net reported. The run is confirmed for Bunkamura Le Cinema Shibuya Miyashita, Grand Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro and other venues.

A giveaway for visitors is planned, with details to be announced later.

The film, directed by Tarsem Singh and starring Lee Pace and Catinca Untaru, was released in Japan in 2008 and was never made available for streaming in the country, becoming known as a "lost" film.

The 4K remaster opened in Japan on November 21, 2025 at only 43 theaters. As of October 31, 2026, about 10 months after release, it had drawn 250,000 admissions and earned over 390 million yen.

The theatrical pamphlet sold out repeatedly and was reprinted, while official goods sold out and were restocked or made to order.
